Polenergia Group has announced that it has already obtained all the permits necessary for the Baltic II and Baltic III offshore wind farms. This means that the project is entering a decisive phase of implementation. To be more precise, this involves 17 permits for the construction of 100 turbines in the Baltic Sea.
In total, the Baltic I, Baltic II and Baltic III wind farms are expected to have a total capacity of up to 3 GW. However, the first of these farms will be the largest in Polish Baltic waters. Its capacity is expected to be up to 1,560 MW.
Meanwhile, Bałtyk II and Bałtyk III farms are expected to start producing energy in 2027, with a total capacity of 1,440 MW.
In any case, we can safely assume that the moment when electricity produced by offshore wind farms in the Baltic will appear in our power grid is getting closer.
