Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego has launched a call for applications for loans financing offshore wind energy projects. Nearly PLN 5 billion is to be distributed.
The announcement of the launch of the loan program appeared a few days ago, during a press conference organized by the Ministry of State Assets.
According to the ZielonaGospodarka.pl, it was announced at the time that Polish government is starting the next phase of offshore wind energy development through the implementation of projects included in the National Recovery Plan.
Virtually all entities capable of implementing offshore wind farms have the right to apply for support, but the Ministry of State Assets has identified seven projects (planned by five consortia) that meet the requirements of the competition.
The loans are to be granted on an arm’s length basis. The agreements can be concluded until August 31, 2026, with repayment until 2053.
