The Ministry of Climate and Environment has agreed to increase the corrective dispatch factor for energy storage facilities. This is an important, but unfortunately only cosmetic change.

According to the original proposals, this coefficient was to be 57.58 percent. In the end, the Climate Ministry agreed to 61.3 percent. This still means a huge reduction in this coefficient.

This ratio is used to determine the maximum size of the power obligation of a particular market unit.

However, industry representatives rightly point out that this is still far too little – given the current dynamics of energy storage market development and the actual needs in this area, especially taking into account the need for efficient use of RES sources.

Without significant development of energy storage, there is nothing to think about minimizing the losses of green energy, which are currently largely due to the low capacity of the grid to accept energy produced during the most favorable periods from a meteorological point of view. These, in turn, are increasing in number.
