INDUSTRIAL AREAS ARE SPACE FOR OFFSHORE

Institute for Renewable Energy has prepared an extremely interesting report for the RE-Source Poland Hub on the potential for building wind farms on industrial sites. According to this research, these areas could generate as much as 20 GW of power.

Of course, investments in such solutions would not only contribute to the chances of achieving the goals of the energy transition – for entrepreneurs and local residents it would be the prospect of obtaining cheap and clean energy.

At the same time, the construction of wind power plants in industrial areas is, unfortunately, not an easy task. A lot depends here on the approach of local authorities responsible for spatial planning.

A good solution for entrepreneurs interested in realizing a wind power plant would be to reach for an integrated investment plan, i.e. a new tool introduced in the Law on Spatial Planning and Development. Here, however, a lot depends on the openness of local governments to enact such a plan.
